When just retired from my regular job, my first instinct was to find a way to not work again. Six months into retirement and I started missing the buzz of business. Realized inactivity is not something I can endure. Wanted something more fulfilling to do with my days. One option worth considering was pursuing entrepreneurial ideas that I didn’t have time for when kids and career were exhausting all of my energy. After working for 40 years in the banking/financial services sector, decided to go into a business of my own with a trusted partner, my son, Siddharth. Him coming from a printing and packaging engineering background, I had at my disposal his knowledge and my managerial experience to start a company with great conviction.

We wanted to build an enduring company that has a clear mission, vision, uncompromising values, and a shared way of doing something that is unique to it. We learned from companies like Apple, Amazon, Nike and Tesla that there are behaviours and rituals that will change overtime, but what will never change are the values. These values have to be unique to the company. The two or three things that will make Ambicraft different. We want it to be more than a conventional company that serves its own interests. We want it to find creative ways to give back to the community and help building a better world around. Be a business that can uplift lives around it.
